Ellen Kometani founded Sage Massage Therapy, Inc. in 2001 when she paired up with colleague and long time friend, Yvette Ward to create Sage Wellness Center.
Inspired by her father’s passion in alternative health and healing, she began her in depth studies of Shiatsu massage at the Tao Healing Arts Center in Santa Monica under Dr. Do Ann Kaneko in 1988. Ellen continued her Shiatsu studies at the Academy of Shiatsu in Kailua, HI and had the privilege to study Hawaiian Lomi Lomi with the late “Aunty” Margaret Machado.
Over the last 23 years Ellen has evolved her own style combining the deep pressure of Shiatsu with the intuitive touch of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi.
