Emily Davidson

Emily Davidson, L.Ac , MSTCM, is a graduate of American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in San Francisco, California.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Additionally, she holds a California license to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbalism, as well as a NCCAOM Diplomate in Asian Medicine. She is a member of California State Oriental Medical Association.

Emily has done internships at the Haight Ashbury Free Clinic, ACTCM Auricular clinic, and the ACTCM Clinic. She worked for a world-renowned Bay Area acupuncture fertility specialist, during school and after. Emily has also worked with female survivors of domestic abuse in the Survivor Empowerment Program(SEP) at the San Francisco Sheriff’s department, where she administered ear acupuncture.

Emily specializes in musculoskeletal pain, digestive imbalances, women’s health, fertility, and immune support. She tailors her treatments to each individual, and respects the Chinese medicine principal of treating the whole person-not merely symptoms.

Raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Emily was influenced by local alternative health practitioners and medical doctors.  She sought out help for headaches as a college student and received acupuncture for them. She was blown away at the results, and the way her acupuncture experience transcended pure pain relief.

She also credits the impetus to practice acupuncture and herbalism from working at 2 local natural foods stores and the vast education she received from wise customers and employees on nutrition, supplements and herbs.  She saw a real need people had to go beyond Western medicine and pharmaceuticals to empower themselves and thrive in regards to health.
